eCommerce Support Volunteer
Are you into sustainable fashion? Love unique, vintage finds? Want to boost your digital skills while making a difference?
At Fight for Sight, we're all about giving great items a second life, and we need your creativity and passion to help drive our online sales across eBay and Depop!
What you'll be doing
As an eCommerce volunteer at our vibrant West Norwood hub, you'll be involved in the entire process of turning donations into sales. Here’s what you can look forward to:
- Uncover Hidden Treasures: Help us sort and quality check a wide range of donated items—anything from quirky fashion, designer shoes, and accessories to stunning homeware, art, and collectable treasures.
- Create Engaging Listings: Research and write captivating descriptions that highlight the stories behind our unique items, as well as determine the best pricing strategies to help maximise our charity’s profits.
- Photography & Styling: Style and snap photos of donated items to showcase them on our eCommerce platforms.
- Stock Management: Get hands-on experience managing and organising stock for our online store, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Packaging & Dispatching: Package sold items with care, ensuring a memorable unboxing experience for our customers.
What You’ll Gain:
- eCommerce Experience: Learn the end-to-end process of selling online, from researching prices to managing stock and dispatching items.
- Marketing & Creative Skills: Develop your copywriting, photography, and visual merchandising talents to create visually appealing listings.
- Business Insights: Enhance your research, pricing, and decision-making abilities—valuable for any business environment.
- Boost Your CV: Gain relevant, real-world experience in the growing fields of sustainable fashion and online charity retail.
- Make an Impact: Every sale helps raise vital funds for Fight for Sight’s mission to prevent sight loss and support those living with visual impairments.
Who We’re Looking For:
No specific experience is needed—just a passion for fashion, homeware, or unique collectables, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to contribute to a good cause. If you love vintage fashion, sustainability, or are looking to build your skills in eCommerce, business, marketing, or inventory management, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Flexible Hours & Location:
