What you'll be doing
As an eCommerce Fulfilment Volunteer at our vibrant West Norwood hub, you’ll play a key role in preparing and dispatching customer orders with precision. Here’s what you can look forward to:

- Packaging: Carefully pack items to create a positive unboxing experience, focusing on both presentation and protection during transit.
- Shipping Coordination: Organise and label packages for daily collection by our dispatch provider, ensuring accurate and timely shipping while maintaining attention to detail.
- Quality Assurance: Review each order before it’s packed, checking items for quality and accuracy so that every customer receives exactly what they ordered.
- Maintain Shipping Supplies: Help keep our fulfilment area organised by tracking and arranging packing supplies to ensure efficient operations.
What You’ll Gain:
- Hands-On Fulfilment Experience: Learn the end-to-end process of preparing, packing, and dispatching orders—a crucial element of online retail.
- Develop an Eye for Quality: Sharpen your attention to detail as you work to ensure each item is packed to perfection.
- Business Operations Insight: Gain practical experience in logistics, stock management, and fulfilment in a charity retail environment, and understand how fulfilment enhances the overall customer journey.
- Boost Your CV: Add competitive experience in fulfilment, logistics, and eCommerce, ideal for retail or customer service roles.
- Make a Real Impact: Each package you prepare helps fund Fight for Sight’s mission, supporting research and aid for individuals with visual impairments.
