Fundraise
for us

Our work is only possible when people like you don aprons, put on parachutes, pound city pavements and more.

Somewhere in the UK, in a University lab, is a petri dish containing retinal cells grown by researchers.

Those cells are helping to unlock the secrets of a condition that leads to vision loss, taking us a step closer to better understanding, diagnosing, and treating that condition.

It's people like you who turn pounds into Petri dishes and back the work of the brilliant minds we're funding in labs UK-wide.

Across the UK, we're connecting people who are blind and vision impaired, helping to forge new friendships and connections to nature, and opening up opportunities to try new activities or join employment workshops and tackling loneliness and isolation.

Together, we're putting change in sight.

We can only fund this work because people like you don aprons, have a clear-out or lace up your running shoes.

In return, you'll become part of a team of passionate fundraisers, supporters and staff, all dedicated to putting change in sight for everyone impacted by vision loss.

Fundraising FAQs

  • How do I pay in funds?

Once you've done all the hard work of fundraising, we want to make it easy for you to transfer the funds over to us. You have three options:

    1. Send a cheque, made payable to Fight for Sight OR Vision Foundation, to 18 Mansell Street, London, E1 8AA

  • What sort of activities can I do to fundraise for you?

  • How much of the money I fundraise goes to charity?

For every £1 we spend, 78p is charitable.

Over the course of our five-year strategy, we plan to spend around £29m on grants for scientific research and social change, as well as on other advocacy, research, and innovation work.

  • We'd like to fundraise as a group. Is that possible?

We are privileged to have several Family Funds and Committees that have supported us over many years. Many have a personal connection to vision loss.

Setting up a Family Fund means the money you raise will go towards research into the condition that affects your family.

If you're interested in setting up a family fund or committee please get in touch with our Community Fundraising Team - events@fightforsight.org.uk

Change is in sight, but we need your help to bring it closer.
