We fund scientific research and social change, putting change in sight for everyone impacted by vision loss.

We fund scientific research
We focus on finding and funding scientific research that advances the understanding, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of eye disease. And we have an ambitious five-year scientific research strategy to ensure our funding is putting change in sight.

"It’s not project-driven. It’s researcher-driven...picking out those people who have the promise to become global leaders in their chosen field."
Funding social change
We fund projects and programmes that drive connections, build confidence and understand what it means to be blind and vision impaired.
Our focus is on delivering lasting change.
We also fund Insight Reports, including those that have highlighted the experiences of Domestic Violence and Abuse victims and survivors and loneliness and isolation.
